April 27 - King's Day - Koningsdag.

Birthday of king Willem-Alexander.
Until 2013, when Willem-Alexander was coronated, Queen's Day was on April 30. In the Netherlands, we had queens for over a century. A day the entiry country turns orange. Allthough the way it's celebrated depends on the place.
In the big cities it's massive partying. In the smaller towns a bit more focus on children activities. A constant everywhere is the unregulated street market. Unique opportunities to buy and sell whatever second hand stuff.
